Welcome
Gate36 is a vacation planner that puts you in control. There's no
AI auto-planning — every entry is yours. Your trips are saved in your browser
automatically; export to JSON anytime to back them up.
Recommended workflow
Start with the Bookings tab — add your flights, hotels,
and reservations there first. They automatically appear on The Plan
and the Itinerary calendar as read-only rows (highlighted with a 🔗
chip), so you don't fill them in twice. Then use The Plan to fill in
meals, activities, and free time around them.
The five tabs
- Itinerary — a calendar view of your week. Click a day
to focus the map and see that day's activities.
- The Plan — the detailed schedule, grouped by date.
Each row holds a time, type, what, who, and notes. Use + Add date
to extend the trip and + Add row inside a date to log an activity.
Rows synced from Bookings show a 🔗 chip and an arrow button — click it
to jump to the source booking.
- Packing List — items grouped by category. Check things
off as you pack.
- Bookings — flights, hotels, rentals, restaurants.
Each row has a date, time, address, confirmation #, and price. Bookings
with a date are mirrored onto The Plan and the Itinerary calendar.
- Shopping List — souvenirs and trip-only purchases,
grouped however you like.
Side panels (pins)
- Packing (blue) — quick view of what's left to pack.
- Bookings (orange) — upcoming reservations at a glance.
- Budget (green) — total spend with a stacked bar by category.
